It’s been a while. A lot happened. So far as everyone having a safe and happy new year? Mine got off to a shakey start.

I ended up quitting/getting fired.

Better worded: I ended up quitting to avoid getting fired.

Somewhere along the past four years the picnic ended, the honeymoon was over, and I didn’t even get a reach around. My old job just stopped, as Clarence Carter would say, “Sassifying” me. I need to add, that Clarence Carter ALWAYS knows when his woman is “Sassified.”

So, I boxed up my crap and headed out. Middle management wasn’t for me. Through careful budgeting, I managed to only be without a paycheck for a week, and we had plans for even longer.

I hit monster, tossed a bunch of resumes up. Turns out, the telecommunications industry was looking for me. They snapped me up and now I design and setup cellphone networks and handle telco relationships for a new “Comfortable” wireless company.

Through all that shakeup I hardly had time to say boo, much less post on a weblog. It’s cool though, I’m no longer in an industrial park. I’m downtown. Lots of eating choices, lots of things to do. It’s a much better arrangement for everyone involved.
